About Cody
Cody was born and raised in Lake City, MN and from a young age, has shown an interest in the arts. He was a part of a handful of productions during his early years at Lincoln High School. He decided to attend Winona State University (Winona, MN) upon graduating from high school in 2010. He attended Winona State for one year as a Mass Communication: Broadcasting major and Theatre Arts minor. He was involved in the WSU spring production of "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui". After the 2010-11 school year, he took a year off, to explore other options. He returned to school in 2012-13 at Rochester Community Technical College in Rochester, MN. He spent two years there, but did not participate in any theatre productions or classes. It wasn't until he returned to Winona State in Fall of 2014, that he returned to theatre. He was cast in the role of Dad in "Leaving Iowa" and since that time he has been involved in at least one theatrical production, per semester, at Winona State. In Fall 2016, he decided to pursue a degree as a theatre major. In Fall 2016, Cody was cast as Sims/Papa in Winona State's production of "The Nether", this was Cody's acting capstone as a theatre major at Winona State. Cody graduated as a double major, with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication: Broadcasting and Theatre Arts in May 2017.

News
Cody just finished his final year in college. He played the role of Sims/Papa in "The Nether" during the Fall semester, this was his acting capstone for his theatre major at Winona State.
He went to ACTF for a fourth and final time in January 2017 as an Irene Ryan nominee. He made it to the semi-finals for the second year in a row (this time with partner Sam Scherrer). They were one pair of just 64 that advanced to the semi-finals. For the first time ever, Cody also advanced to the finals in the Irene Ryan acting competition. That means him and his partner were one of only fourteen pairs that advanced to that final round.
During the Spring semester he was involved in "Oh What a Lovely War!". As a member of the ensemble, he played eight different roles, including Sir Douglas Haig. A short month later, Cody graduated from Winona State.
In July 2017 he was cast as Juror #8 (the role made famous by Henry Fonda in the 1957 film) in a staged reading of "12 Angry Jurors" for a new arts program in Winona, MN called "Arts in the Hall" (later renamed "WinonArts").
In October 2017, Cody will make his feature film debut with the release of "The Mask" from Gerbay Films.
In late 2017 and early 2018, Cody was involved with the "Alternative Truth Project" with two of their staged readings: "The Children's Hour" and "Fahrenheit 451". Most recently, Cody was involved in another "WinonArts" staged reading -- "My Husband, James Younger" in late March 2018.
